I’m a member of an AHHT suh-sy-uh-tay…
I joined the Northwest Collage Society and went to my first general meeting yesterday; it was great! So much TALENT in the room, and everyone is so nice. There was a wonderful demonstration, too.
They’ve (hey, WE’VE!) got a great way to make sure everyone signs in: If your name isn’t on the sign-in sheet, you can’t win the door-prize, which is a collage or other artwork made by the last winner. How cool is that? What a great prize.
New purchases that are thrilling me right now: My Niji WaterBrush, which works terrifically well with my Derwent watercolor pencils my mom bought me about a million years ago, but I didn’t know how amazing they were then. So now, I can carry the water brush and the pencils and do watercolor sketches anywhere with no spills. etc. Cool, eh? And my Tombow brush pen, which works like a, well, a brush/pen. It’s really fun to draw with. It’s also a great way for me to practice brushwork without wasting paint. And it goes anywhere.
