My press just arrived!! All the pieces were included, and it actually WORKS!! I’m stunned! And thrilled! I’m strilled!!! I was all set to be disappointed that something was left out of the box, or it would be broken. It’s too bad that poor quality and lousy service are the norm anymore, isn’t it? I’m [...]

Artistic integrity vs. needing to eat
I just successfully wrestled with an artistic dilemma. I want to make a second piece for the upcoming Mukilteo art show, and I asked K what she thought about the colors. Doodle on depression

A paying job
I’m re-designing the garden collage for my first commission (a request from a co-worker who saw some of my paper-crafting). I decided that I don’t want it to be just a bunch of flower beds but I want it to be more original. I reminded myself that it’s not a masterpiece, it’s a $25 collage, [...]
Need a fix
I’m going through art withdrawal: I want to PAINT something, and I don’t mean the house. Instead, I’m studying art history. It’s fascinating, but nowhere near as much fun as creating art.
